What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site wordpress collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
When you subscribe to the site, your email address is stored on the statistics page of my wordpress account. This email is solely used to alert you when I post something new on the site. You can unsubscribe should you not wish to see these. These details are never shared or sold.
From time to time, I enjoy working with brands. Occassionally I am sent products from brands to feature or review on my blog. Any posts that are of such a nature will be marked as such in the title with a *, and a further disclaimer will be available at the top of the page.
I may also be paid for some of my content, featuring sponsored posts for brands on my site. Again, any posts that are of such a nature will be marked as such in the title with a *, and a further disclaimer will be available at the top of the page so that you are aware the post you have read was sponsored.
I may also, on occasion, insert relevant affiliate links into my posts. Once more, any posts that are of such a nature will be marked with a *. and a further disclosure will be made at the top of the post.
If you would like to collaborate with me please see my contact page.
